For this meal, we were treated to two pub classics – wings and meatloaf! Paired with a couple of 1000 Islands Brewery tallboys, this is the perfect meal to relax after a long week! Friday night is “pub night” for many and there is no need to miss out because our pubs are closed – have a great experience at home!
We started with the wings – a half pound of honey-hot wings and fresh-cut fries on the side! Honey-hot is a favourite in our house and these wings did not disappoint – perfectly cooked and so juicy! The fries were just an added bonus – crispy and fresh!
The Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf brings that home-cooked flavour (without all the work!) and is served with creamy garlic mashed potatoes, steamed seasonal veggies, delicious beef gravy, and topped with crisp onion tanglers. Everything was so flavourful and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite! This is the perfect meal for a cold day like today!
Finally, our meal was paired with 2 tallboys from the 1000 Island Brewing Company. We had the Amber and Lagered Ale which were the perfect pairing for our meals (Amber with the meatloaf and Lagered Ale with the wings) but they have 12 varieties to choose from to suit all tastes! Another great meal from another great Barrhaven restaurant!
