Welcome to Barrhaven, Stonebridge Family Dentistry!

We are very excited to welcome Stonebridge Family Dentistry to the Barrhaven community! Located at 3812 Greenbank Road in Half Moon Bay, this new dental practice features cutting edge technology in a beautifully designed modern but warm environment! This practice is a one stop shop for the whole family with orthodontics and oral surgery right one site. A focus on children’s dentistry will ensure that your kids are in good hands as well. Attention to detail and consideration for the patient’s experience were a top priority in creating this beautiful practise. Their “flossophy” says it all – “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight”.

The practice is a labour of love for Dr. Thea Worthylake, a native maritimer who graduated with distinction from the prestigious Faculty of Dentistry at McGill University. She was the recipient of numerous awards including the Academy of General Dentistry’s Senior Dental Student Award.

Before becoming a dentist, she attended the University of Ottawa where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Genomics. She has numerous scientific publications and extensive research experience including positions at Office of Pediatric Initiatives (Ottawa), Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (Ottawa), Jewish General Hospital (Montreal) and The Florey Institute of Neuroscience &; Mental Health (Melbourne). She is always looking for the latest, most effective techniques for her patients.

Upon completing her dental training, Dr. Thea returned to Ottawa to practice and has been serving the greater Ottawa area ever since. She has an extensive following that includes grandparents, moms, dads, children & toddlers! After working as an associate dentist for several years, she is now proudly serving the Stonebridge and Half-Moon-Bay communities in Barrhaven South and the beautiful town of Almonte.

Dr. Thea is committed to advanced continuing education and regularly attends lectures and courses throughout the US and Canada, focusing on Children’s (pediatric) dentistry as well as orthodontics. She is an active member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), Ontario Dental Association (ODA), Canadian Dental Association (CDA) and Ottawa Women Dentists’ Study Club.

Always a Maritimer at heart, Dr. Thea will immediately make you feel at ease. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and particularly enjoys children’s (pediatric) dentistry. It is extremely important to her that kids’ first experiences at the dentist are fun and stress free to set them up for a lifetime of good oral health.

Dr. Thea loves staying active. When she isn’t practicing dentistry, you can find her at the gym or cycling and hiking in Gatineau Park. She finds joy in exploring different cities and restaurants with her partner-in-crime, Daniel.
