The Log Farm – Opening Weekend

The Log Farm opens for summer season this Saturday May 18th.  Long weekend hours, open Saturday, Sunday and Monday 9am-4pm.  The Log Farm, a small family farm,  is a little hidden treasure of local heritage. A country oasis located right in the middle of today’s busy city.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back, kicking off the summer season with the May long weekend. Three days of wholesome family fun down on the farm.

Come and check out all the new babies around the farm. Spring is such a special time around the farm, buzzing with new life.

We have extended our Little Farmers/ Toddler Time activities, to run through-out the weekend as well.

Rhythm Culture Festival – Call for Vendors

The organizing committee of the Rhythm Culture Festival (RCF) are presenting you with the opportunity to participate as a vendor at the 3rd annual Rhythm Culture Festival. This event will be held on August 10, 2024 (from 12:00pm to 10:00pm) and August 11, 2024 (from 12:00pm to 9:00pm), at Clarke Fields Park in Barrhaven, ON.

Rhythm Culture Festival Committee – The (RCF) committee is a diverse group of community minded volunteers with over 15 years of combined event, music, and promotional experience within the National Capital Region (NCR). The group also represents a strong affinity for the youth and seniors in our communities. We regularly hold events and fundraisers that enable us to continue the work of highlighting a productive and positive culture within the Caribbean community. We strive to assist youth in understanding the benefits of being engaged within their own community, promoting, and practicing a strong sense of civic, intergenerational and community engagement which will in turn enhance their lives.

Our family friendly event welcomes all community members and as noted above, will be featured at Clarke Fields Park in Barrhaven, Nepean. We look forward to including you in our festival weekend in the ever-growing community of Nepean.

You will find information regarding potential expectations/obligations for information booth vendors in the attached contract made available for your perusal. We would be happy to answer any other questions you may have before committing to participation.

Ottawa Islamic Soccer League (OISL), the first of its kind in the Ottawa region is proud to commence its first season in 2024. OISL was founded with a vision to unite, gather, and strengthen the Barrhaven community through love for sports. Our aim is to teach and encourage skills of soccer supported by an environment of mentorship through fellow players, coaches, referees, and managers at all levels of play. We aim to provide an active, healthy outlet for children and youth to promote social development and personal growth. OISL is a platform for boys and girls of all ages and backgrounds to achieve their potential, identify their strengths, and compete for excellence while having fun.
