Do you have a little one who loves to dance or do gymnastics? Rhythmic gymnastics may be the perfect fit! Established in 1996, Pirouette Rhythmic Gymnastics Club has been bringing this beautiful sport to Barrhaven for 25+ years! The club is led by Vendula Zamorska (Seary), a former Czech National Team Member, and offers recreational and competitive streams for all ages and abilities. In the coming months, they have a variety of offerings to introduce you to the sport and see it or try it out for yourself!
Summer Camps
Summer Camp registrations are NOW OPEN! Camps run all summer long at 3500 Fallowfield every weekday from 9am to 4pm with before and after care available. Get ready for another jam packed summer full of Rhythmic Gymnastics! Camps are available for levels ages 5+. Recreational camps spend the mornings learning the basics of Rhythmic Gymnastics skills, flexibility, coordination and of course playing with ribbons, hoops, balls, and ropes. After lunch, they spend the day outside – dancing, playing games, and doing crafts. Competitive camps will focus on intensive Rhythmic Gymnastics skills to prepare for the upcoming season! Summer Recreational Program
Don’t need camps this summer but still want a great opportunity to try out Rhythmic Gymnastics. Pirouette Rhythmic Gymnastics will be offering two 1 month recreational sessions (July or August). This is a great opportunity to learn the basics and give it a try without the longer seasonal commitments. The 1 month sessions also make it easier to work around your existing summer vacation plans! Competitive Auditions
Interested in taking it to the next level? Pirouette is always looking for more pre-comp/competitive gymnasts to join their team! Annual Open Auditions are taking place this year on May 25th & 26th, 5-7pm at 3500 Fallowfield. The Auditions are FREE and each child will receive a program recommendation for the fall. No prior experience with Rhythmic Gymnastics is necessary – experience with artistic gymnastics, dance, figure skating, or even just natural ability is often enough of a starting point! Pirouette Invitational 2024 – Watch the Competition!
Last but not least, if you just want to see what the sport is all about, Pirouette Rhythmic Gymnastics will be hosting an invitational competition on Saturday, May 4th at Algonquin College. This will be a great opportunity to see the sport in action with athletes from Ottawa and Montreal competing including National Level gymnasts. The competition begins at 8am and runs all day long.
