Barrhaven Winter Warm Up Coffee Tour
Winter is here and if you’re looking for a great and inexpensive excuse to get out of the house, check out some of our amazing Barrhaven cafés and coffee shops. Warm up with an amazing hot drink and treat yourself to something freshly baked. This is a great way to break up those long winter months and something you can do on your own or with friends and family! Over the next couple of months, we will be taking you on a tour of our Barrhaven cafés to hopefully inspire you to explore. Each one is unique and they all offer something special. So put those boots on and head out for the perfect winter warm up in Barrhaven!
Anabia Cupcakery Café
Our first stop is definitely a Barrhaven favourite – Anabia Cupcakery Café! Located at 3570 Strandherd Drive, this café has everything from the most delicious baked goods (& it’s not just cupcakes!) to the perfect coffee to pair with them. Nestle into a comfy chair in the inviting space and let the cold of winter fade away! Did you know that they added a stunning new mural just this week – it’s a beautiful Portuguese streetscape in homage to the owner’s heritage! This new addition allows your mind to wander to a whole other world and also creates a great photo opportunity! You have to see it!
What to Try?
Obviously, no trip to Anabia is complete without a cupcake! It can be hard to choose just one with so many classic and unique flavours! PRO TIP – buy some to take home so that you don’t have to just pick one! The cupcakes keep well in the fridge and can also be frozen for a treat another day!
Don’t forget to also take a peek at some of their other baked goods! The Portuguese tarts are the best in the city and there are many other incredible options to choose from!
Come for the cupcakes but stay for the coffee! Coffee at Anabia is treated like art. Every coffee is perfectly brewed to order. You have to try it!
Anabia is also the perfect place to bring the kids for a special outing – nothing beats a hot chocalate and a cupcake!
