We are starting this week off with another amazing take out experience. Mondays are always busy days for most so order some take out and relax. Heart & Crown Barrhaven is doing next level take out and we were treated to a dining experience like none other. Whether you are looking for pub-fare to munch on while watching the big game or delicious entrées for a date night at home, check out the Heart & Crown!
Our meal from Heart & Crown consisted of the Nachos with Jerk Chicken, the Fish and Chips, and the Crème Brûlée! I think it needs to be acknowledged that the Heart & Crown is truly pulling out all the stops as two of these items are incredibly difficult to pull off in take out food but they have figured out. From start to finish, everything was perfect!
The Jerk Chicken Nachos are topped generously with pico de gallo, cheese, jalapeños, and the most delicious Jerk Chicken. They do pack a little heat but it is nicely balanced with the scallion crema. The nachos were hot and crispy just like they would be at the restaurant!
Heart & Crown is known for their Fish and Chips. You really can’t go wrong with their beer-battered Nova Scotia haddock and fresh fries paired with their creamy slaw and tartar sauce. The generous piece of fish has the perfect ratio of breading to fish and this classic meal could not be better executed!
And finally, the Crème Brûlée. This dessert is simply beautiful with fresh berries and powdered sugar on top and has flavours that are out of this world. Every aspect was perfect from crunchy burnt sugar to the creamy custard. Take a moment and indulge – you won’t regret it!
