1) Barrhaven’s Biggest Holiday Light Display
The Barrhaven BIA is proud to once again be lighting up the corners of Greenbank Road and Strandherd Drive with the communities BIGGEST holiday light display. Over 60k lights will be lit every evening from Friday, November 17th until mid-January. We hope that they make your holiday season extra bright! Enjoy them while driving by or if on foot, take a photo and share it with us!
2) Barrhaven’s Great Holiday Giveaway
Our holiday giveaways are back and bigger than ever this year! From Friday, November 17th to Tuesday, December 12th, we will have 26 daily giveaways on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Each day, we will feature a new business with a new prize! Make sure to enter daily!
3) Outdoor Christmas Market at the Log Farm
On Saturday, November 18th and Saturday, November 25th from 10am to 2pm, The Log Farm is hosting their annual Outdoor Christmas Market! This popular event features 50 vendors each day and is a great opportunity to start your holiday shopping and get into the festive spirit in a beautiful setting. There is no admission to shop the market and they now have over 200 parking spaces available – please check the lot before parking on the street!
4) Self Made Holiday Cards with Metallic Designs at Staples Barrhaven
The scents of gingerbread, cookies, scented candles and a warm fire are back in the air – holiday is here! At the most wonderful time of the year, there are lots of greetings to send out.
Designing your own holiday cards this year will make it even more personal. Using metallic markers to draw on black paper, you can create beautiful holiday cards for your friends and family – and let your creativity sparkle.
In this session, you will:
- Get creative and Make and Take your own holiday card.
All supplies will be provided. Ages 6+. This event is FREE. Wednesday, November 22nd from 5pm to 7pm!
5) Christmas Pet Photoshoot at Pet Value Barrhaven
Bring your pets for photos with Santa at Pet Value Barrhaven on Saturday, November 25th from 10am to 2pm! Digital downloads will be available by donation to Freedom Dog Rescue!
6) Bunny Palooza Christmas Extravaganza at Ren’s Pets Barrhaven
Join in this fun event at Ren’s Pets Barrhaven on Saturday, December 2nd from 10am to 4pm! Activities include a bunny photobooth, adopt a stuffed bunny, nail trims and grooming for your bunny, raffle baskets, baking, bunny treat, and bunny themed gifts!
7) A Very Merry Grinchmas Pizza Party at Boston Pizza Barrhaven
Kids 10 yrs and under $10.99 + tx – includes 1 build-your-own pizza kit, drink and dessert.
Adults may order off of the main menu.

9) Holiday Donut Decorating at Maverick’s Donuts Barrhaven
Join the team at Maverick’s Donuts Barrhaven on December 5th or December 19th for Holiday Donut Decorating! There are 2 timeslots each night – 6:30pm for beginners (ages 6-10) and 8pm for advanced (ages 11+). The cost is $25 per person and includes 2 donuts and one beverage per guest! Spots are limited so don’t delay registering at barrhaven@mavericksdonuts.com!
10) Photos with Santa at BMO Barrhaven West
Looking for a great opportunity to get your photos with Santa right here in Barrhaven? BMO Barrhaven West will be hosting the big man himself on Friday, December 8th from 5pm to 8pm. Get photo ready and make sure to have your wish lists on hand! More details to follow! In case you’re wondering, it is the Santa pictured!
11) Holiday Paint Nites at Broadway Barrhaven
Broadway Barrhaven will be hosting 2 holiday Paint Nites in the month of December. Step up to the canvas and unleash your inner artist with your Paint Nite host guiding you through the process of creating a beautiful work of art! On Saturday, December 9th at 7:00pm paint your very own Holiday Barn and on Saturday, December 23rd at 7:00pm paint your own Chalkboard Holiday!
