Looking for a perfect spot to meet for lunch? Look no further than The Works Barrhaven! With a great lunch menu featuring smaller (4oz) burgers and their full regular menu, there’s something for everyone no matter their appetite. If you have never been to The Works, you are in for a treat – they specialize in burgers and it shows. They offer burgers with standard toppings cooked to perfection or endless unique options that you won’t find anywhere else!
Their lunch menu is a great showcase of some of their fan favourites and we tried 3 unique options that were amazing! All options are also available with a plant-based patty for any vegetarians and can be modified to be vegan as well! To make things even easier, all lunch meals include a drink!
Our first burger was the Smokey Mountain with a side of fries. This burger features smokey mountain bbq sauce, monterey jack cheese and bacon over a delicious beef patty. It lives up to it’s name with the amazing smokey flavour of the bbq sauce and bacon and the fries were crispy and fresh.
Up next, the Blues Burger! As the name suggests, this burger features blue cheese with tangy ranch dressing and bacon. The flavour combination is perfect and this has been a longtime favourite on their menu! Pair it with some fresh cut veggies to add some brightness and you can’t go wrong.
For our last burger, we tried something a little more daring – The SK8R Boy. Take a moment to sing that early 2000’s classic this burger was named after in your head then dive into this fun and unique option. This burger is topped with peanut butter, jack cheese, and bacon. Don’t let the peanut butter throw you off – the creamy sweet and salty flavour is the perfect compliment to the cheese, bacon, and beef. Paired with onion rings, you can’t go wrong. PRO TIP: order a side of their famous beechhouse sauce to dip your rings – you won’t regret it!
Last but not least, don’t hesitate to indulge in a milkshake! They are made to order and add a sweet treat to any meal.
