Greenbank Realignment – Public Information Session

The City of Ottawa invites you to attend a public information session to discuss an upcoming construction project planned in your neighbourhood.

The City of Ottawa will present details regarding Phase 1 of the Greenbank Road Realignment and Southwest Transitway Extension project.

In addition to the above meeting, residents can also participate through viewing and commenting on the online documents.

What: Phase 1 of the Greenbank Realignment and Southwest Transitway Extension project. This segment will include a new 4-lane arterial roadway and pedestrian/cyclist facilities throughout.

Why: This project will provide a key transportation link for the existing and fast-growing community of Barrhaven south of the Jock River. This engagement opportunity will present the final design for Phase 1 and provide an opportunity to ask questions.

When: Construction to begin spring 2026.

Where: Cambrian Road to Riverboat Heights

Who: The City of Ottawa has retained Stantec Consulting Inc. to complete the preliminary and detailed design for this project. Phase 1 contractor to be announced February 2026.
