Mary Honeywell Elementary School Fundraiser for kinder shade

Hi Everyone!

I’m a parent at Mary Honeywell Elementary School and I’m currently fundraising to help install much-needed shade in the kindergarten playground.

This project will benefit not only our kindergarten students, but also the school’s autism program classes, who regularly use the same outdoor space. For many of these students, having access to shade is especially important due to sensory needs, difficulty regulating body temperature, and the fact that some children are more comfortable outdoors without shoes, making hot playground surfaces particularly challenging.

I’m reaching out to see if any local Barrhaven businesses would be interested in supporting our community fundraiser. Donations of any size are greatly appreciated, whether that’s a gift card, product, service, or experience that could be used in our upcoming silent auction or other fundraising events.

Supporting local businesses will be recognized and promoted on our fundraising page, and every donation helps us get one step closer to providing a safer, more comfortable outdoor space for our students.
