FREE CYBER SECURITY PILOT FOR SMALL BUSINESSES FROM THE BBIA AND CARLETON UNIVERSITY

Most data breaches occur at businesses with under 1000 employees.  55 percent of small businesses said they’ve experienced a cyber attack in the past 12 months.  50 percent said they’ve fallen victims to a data breach within the last year.

Barrhaven BIA has partnered with the Global Cybersecurity Resource (GCR) organization to help Barrhaven businesses improve their cyber security and to help advance Ottawa economic development. GCR is a not-for-profit organization run by Carleton University’s Lead to Win program.

There is no charge to participate in the pilot for qualified SMBs.

Note that the GCR pilot program has limited slots availability.  However, Barrhaven businesses are being given the first refusal in participating because of the Barrhaven BIA’s unique relationship with GCR.

Additional information is available at https://globalcybersecurityresource.wordpress.com.
