2025 Teen Art Contest / Concours d’art pour ados 2025

Calling all Teen Artists in Barrhaven for submissions –

THE DEADLINE TO ENTER THE CONTEST IS AUGUST 27 AT 5 PM. Submissions accepted at the Ruth E. Dickinson Library during library opening hours until the close of the contest.

Contest information:

The contest is open to teens ages 13-17.
Artists must have an Ottawa Public Library card.
One entry per artist.

Criteria for submissions :

It must be the artist’s original work.
It must be a painting or a drawing.
Participants can use any usual paint or drawing mediums, including oils, acrylics, pastels, pencil, charcoal, etc.
Participants can use any surface, including stretched canvas, art paper, card, linen, wood, etc.
The art piece can be a maximum of 24 x 30 inches

Submitting work:

Participants must fill out the submission form (visit for details).
Art pieces must be submitted in person along with the fully complete submission form to the Ruth E. Dickinson branch (100 Malvern Dr.) by Wednesday, August 27 at 5:00 pm.

All eligible art will be exhibited during a vernissage on Saturday, September 6th, from 2:30 until 3:30 pm.

Winners:

Prize winners will be announced during the vernissage.
The top art pieces will be displayed in the Ruth E. Dickinson branch Teen Zone for the month of September along with the artist’s name and the title of the work.

All art will be returned to the artist at the conclusion of the contest.
